Why Bother Being Grateful for Those Who Inspire Us?
Those Who Inspire Us
Inspiration is necessary for creativity and creativity is necessary to live our ordinary lives in an extraordinary way.
Who inspires us? Who motivates us to do something we only think about doing? It might be someone we notice, someone we’ve met, someone close to us or someone we’ve read about. We might admire from a distance or close up. But they inspire us to take a chance, to move from just thinking about something to actually doing it.
One such person in my life was Jenny. An author with more than one published book. I wanted to be like her; writing a story worthy enough to be put into a book and read by others.
I had a story in mind, but had not written all of it down; only bits and pieces. I wasn’t sure what to do with what I had, but I needed to do something with it.
Moving from being inspired by what Jenny accomplished to actually accomplishing something similar for myself took a step of courage. Since I personally knew Jenny, I chose to ask her for help laying my heart out and making myself vulnerable to her.
Thankfully she understood my need and willingly offered to help me transform my bits and pieces of a story into a book.
Jenny had inspired me, invigorated and awakened me and now I had to trust her to show me how to create something tangible and real from my little idea.
And she did. We worked together at making sense of my story and eventually it made sense. Ultimately my little idea became something tangible; a book.
Why Bother?
Why bother being grateful for those who inspire us? Those who inspire us transform our thinking and way of being. They motivate us toward creating something real that was once only an idea. P.S. I wrote the story of my journey to forgiveness for those who, like me, know they need to change, but are not quite sure where to start. You can find A Heart’s Journey To Forgiveness at Redemption Press and Amazon.
